What's the difference between RegioGraph Analysis, Planning and Strategy?
RegioGraph Analysis is ideal for visualizing and analyzing your markets, customers and locations on digital maps.
RegioGraph Planning includes all of the features of RegioGraph Analysis along with additional tools for optimizing and planning sales territories or catchment areas.
RegioGraph Strategy includes all features in RegioGraph Planning as well as comprehensive location evaluation features.
- How long do I have the right to update?
As a RegioGraph user, you have the right to update to the subsequent two versions of RegioGraph after purchasing the software. At present, this means that all users of "RegioGraph 2010" and "RegioGraph 2011" have the right to update to the latest RegioGraph at the discounted update price. - What are the system requirements for RegioGraph?
RegioGraph can be run on all PCs with Windows version 2000 or later, along with the most recently available service pack. The minimum requirements are a 1 GHz processor speed with 256 MB RAM. A 2 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM are recommended.
- Does RegioGraph support 64-bit and multi-core processors?
Yes, RegioGraph will run on a 64-bit system as a 32-bit application. In the case of intensive calculations, RegioGraph makes simultaneous use of multiple processors.
- Does RegioGraph run on a server?
Yes, RegioGraph can be installed and run on a network. We'd be happy to provide you with step-by-step instructions.
- Does RegioGraph run on a Mac?
Yes, if you're running the application Bootcamp Windows as an additional operating system, which allows you to work with RegioGraph in the usual way.
- What kind of run-time environment is needed for RegioGraph ?
The software requires Microsoft .NET FrameWork 2.0 and Windows Installer, version 3.1. These files are provided on the software DVD and will be installed if necessary.
- Can I install RegioGraph along with previous versions of the software?
Yes, versions of the software can be installed independently of one another. It's also possible to open two versions of the software simultaneously. You can also deinstall a previous version at a later point. Please note that when you open projects created with RegioGraph 2010 or a previous version in the latest RegioGraph version, these projects are converted and will no longer be compatible with the previous software version.
- How do I install RegioGraph?
Double-click the file "setup.exe" contained on the application DVD. This will automatically start the installation. Dialog windows guide you through the process.
- What's the difference between maps and background maps?
Maps are map layers into which you can import data and use as the basis of analyses or sales territory planning. Background maps are pre-formatted map levels. Background maps allow you to quickly access geographic information or create a map with a finished look in a short period of time.
- Do I have to install all of the maps and background maps on the DVD as part of the application installation?
No - these elements are not required to run the software. You can install these maps at any point. However, note that maps or background maps must be present in the software in order to import data or analyze data on layers.
- Will I still have access to my old RegioGraph projects after installing RegioGraph?
Yes, you can continue to access project files created with previous versions of RegioGraph. These projects will be converted when they are opened for the first time with RegioGraph. From that point forward, you can only work with these projects in RegioGraph.
- Can I continue to use layers from my previous version (*.rx5 or later) of RegioGraph?
Yes, this is possible, as long as you copy the layers into the map library of RegioGraph before deinstalling the previous version of RegioGraph.
- Can I work with layers in foreign data formats?
Yes, you can work with the MapInfo format (*.mif) and ESRI format (*.shp) directly within RegioGraph's map library.
